Getting moved in

We have been in Winston now for a week and our apartment is slowly coming together. Every day we see a bit more "day light." :-)

The very cool doors to the stairway inside the building have counter weights

A look at the still empty living room / guest bedroom

The still empty master bedroom

We still have a bunch of boxes in the guest room, but not as many as pictured here

The master bedroom still needs pictures, otherwise it is good to go

Barack among a few fans

Barack Obama spoke in Berlin in front of crowd of over 200,000 people. How many other politicians can create that much enthusiasm and interest? Wow.

Granada

We spent the last 2 days of our honeymoon in Granada.

Granada is a charming smaller town with narrow streets

The Alhambra is looming above us

Our hotel in Granada was the Casa Morisca and we had a nice view from our room

Standing in line for a nice map of Granada

There were tons of scooters in Granada, even in front of the judicial building

Time for a relaxing brunch

Amy is making sure that we won't get lost

Another cute little street

The steep hike up to the Alhambra

The reward is a great view

More beautiful gardens

Looking down on the path where we came up

The castle part is quite massive

Honey moon indeed :-)

Beautiful details in the old palace

More details

Don't do that!

More beautiful gardens

We had nice breakfast here the last morning

On a shopping mission

Street vendors without permits are always ready to bolt should authorities arrive

We laughed about this sign

But when the taxi later took us through there and scraped both mirrors we know the warning was no joke. (the images is shot through the back window as we just left the super narrow tight spot)

The trip is over, but the honeymoon isn't.

Sevilla

From Lisbon we traveled to Sevilla, Spain via a mellow night train and stayed there for 2 days and nights.

On our way to the train

Aren't those bunk beds cute

Our hotel in Sevilla was the Vincci La Rabida

Cheers

Oh so fine

Interesting architecture

More nice architecture

We were very excited about the Cathedral and the Giralda

The Cathedral is truly amazing and enormous in size

Beautiful details

Christopher Columbus is apparently laid to rest here

Bling, bling

Looking down from the Giralda

Looking up the Giralda

We also visited the Hospital de los Venerables

Later in the day we noticed this unique basketball came

At the waterfront of Sevilla

The next morning we saw the famed Alcazar

Beautiful ornate details

Alcazar has some very beautiful gardens

Some of the Alcazar buildings date back to the 10th century

We had breakfast here a couple times
