Mc Donald's to the rescue

In a 15 mile square radius around my house in Germany, the only place for me to go online is a McDonald's in Bad Saulgau. This is the town where I went to highschool, and now I am hanging out before midnight with highschool kids in a Micky D so I can check my emails and post one out.

Nice.

Germany, here I am

I have arrived in Germany this weekend for a tradeshow, but I also get to see family and friends. Can't complain about that for sure.
But then again, now I miss someone back in the USA very much.

Seeing things in a positive way :-)

The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time.

Images from where I grew up

The Lake of Constanze

The region nearby is quite hilly

There are also a few nice castles

Plus very beautiful baroque churches

And not to forget, great bike paths

A new smile on my face

People have noticed that I have been extremely happy the last week. Not that I am usually grumpy, but more so that I seem especially happy. :-)
Well, all I will say, sometimes you stumble indeed on happyness.

A feast for the eyes

The Grand Place in downtown Brussels is one of the world's most beautiful squares on any given day, but every two years it gets even more amazingly beautiful when the city covers it with a magnificent carpet of flowers.
This takes place in mid August for 4 days where you can see 300 square metres covered with 800,000 fresh begonias. It is currently happening and will happen again in 2008.

I love Orange Juice

I like Orange Juice very much and I drink lots of it, but with all the OJ consumption maybe I should be afraid that I'll turn orange one day. :-)

Those damn high plains drifters

Would it be so hard for people to use their turn signals when they switch lanes instead of just going across all lanes like a high plains drifter? There is actually a very wise saying: " If you can't operate the turn signal what makes you think you can operate the rest of the vehicle?"

To me though it is plain and simple a very inconsiderate act and I am all for people getting tickets if they don't use their turn signals.
