"A logo is not a brand" is one of many good thoughts in the Brand Gap book by Marty Neumeier that I am currently reading. A great look at bridging the gap between business strategy and design.
But that being said, I really like that alphabet poster made up from brand symbols and letters in my office.

In the desert
After I returned from my guerrilla marketing gig trip to Nashville, I noticed that I had overlooked an email from Ryan Bowd a few days ago. He had captured a "rarely smiling" image of me in the desert just outside of Abu Dhabi, UAE during an event organized by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, the evening before the inaugural Abu Dhabi Triathlon. Thank you Ryan.

Being at home is nice
After several weeks of fairly heavy traveling, it is very nice to have some quality time at home. Amy and I had a nice brunch at Rana Loca this morning and then went on a nice walk with Pete through the neighborhood. Now we are just relaxing at home for a bit. So nice. Hmmm, maybe I can use the word nice a few more times. :-)
